Let me ask a legitimate question, are we ever going to have a bad Super Bowl game again?!?! I’m not sure we’ve seen one in the past decade! The last blowout game I can remember was the Buccaneers vs Raiders game in 2003, but let’s face it, that game is still causing excitement (ahem, Mr. Bill Callahan). Otherwise, every single game has come down to the fourth quarter, most of them the final drive, and even some the final play! After the first play of the 2nd half (Kickoff return for TD), I began to get disappointed as I could tell this was becoming a blowout and we wouldn’t get an exciting game. I recorded the game and watched it later. I remember Deion Sanders intercepting the final pass of the game as well. This game began to shape me as a football fan. In 2000, it was the second year of my annual Super Bowl party to watch the Ravens and Giants. I remember really wanting the Giants to win that game too (I see a theme here). We went bowling before the game, and came back to watch it with my buddies Adam and Kyle. The Ravens completely dominated that game, with the Giants only score on a kickoff return. I’m excited to see where this years’ game falls in NFL history. Continue Reading
