Patriot Woes:
The Patriots 27 point loss was the worst home loss in the Belichick Era. Also, Cam Newton has gone from Stud to Dud in a 1 week period. Surprised but not surprised to see him benched.
WR Stories of the Week:
· Absolutely shocked to see Antonio Brown get signed this year. He acted like 2020 before it was cool with all the drama and issues he had last season.
· I had almost forgotten about Dez Bryant. Signed to the Ravens practice squad
· On the flip side, Odell Beckham is out for the year with an ACL
· DK Metcalf’s rundown of the Card’s DB when starting 10 yards behind him was insane. The difference in speed between the 2 was like an NFL player racing a high schooler
SNF:
The Cardinals Seahawks game was the game of the season so far with an absolutely crazy sequence to end the game. Starting in the 4th, both teams threw INT’s on back to back plays. SEA then scored on a 4th and 3, ARI then converted two 4th downs on their own TD. Held the Seahawks and marched to kick a game tying FG. In OT with 2:47 left, ARI made a FG (nullified by Timeout) and then Missed the next one! It looked like it was heading towards a tie, but Wilson then threw a pick, and ARI kicked a last second FG.
Stat of the Week:
The NFC West is 19-8 (with 2 of those losses cannibalize within the division), and the NFC East is 7-20-1
Stat of the Week #2:
The Cardinals didn’t hold a lead for the first 69:44, yet won the game.
